Red Hat Lady, You don't have the right to buy my ring when the price marked wrong!

Today I am very angry! When I was at Parap Market, there're 3 women from Red Hat Association came and wanna buy one of my rings.

After she gave me $5, I saw what in her hand was the expensive ring I got from Korea. I told her the price marked wrong, I should've remove those expensive rings. I told her I cant sell that ring for $5 !

But she and her 2 friends bullied me and wouldn't put the ring back! They just walked away with my ring! (well, she only paid half price!) I think this is robbery!

So I informed 2 police women who were just next to me. I dont know if they're off duty or what, they obvious didnt wanna do anything about it! But I wouldnt leave without seeing them do something about it. Eventually, one of them went to the direction I pointed, but of course it's too late!

They said they'll get in the police car and look around, but guess what? I saw those 3 red hat women walking past 20 meters away right in front of me!! Where're the police? They're gone! of course

To those 3 red hat rude women, you dont have the right to force a retailer sell you any items that the price just marked wrong! What were you thinking? I told you NO! And you just walked away with my ring! SHAM ON YOU! And I am sure the Red Hat Association is ashamed because of YOU!

You just keep walking, mocking around and robberying from other people. Some day, someone will get you!

My Handmade Craft Stall at Parap Market

Yo~

Today, I'd like to show you the new look of my stall at Parap Market :)

Have I said that I really like Parap Market? Well~ I do hate having to get up 6am & set up the stall :P & the terms of applying new jewellery products now's too strict, but I still like the diversity in this market, especially there're lots of handmade & amazing things you could find here.

You can see in the photo below, I have owl/fish bags hanging around my big umbrella which makes an excellent decoration ^^

I also love my denim handbags. All of them have lots compartments inside & outside and each style I've only got about 5 max. ~ so I dare to say, all of them are very limited in stock!

parap.jpg

Let's have a closer look at the table on the left hand side. I don't have enough space, so I put my felting items a bit here and a bit there :P

DVC00051.JPG

I hang 2 boards on the stand of my umbrella. Upper board has my resin shell necklaces and the one on the buttom has bottle cap bracelets, necklaces and keyrings~

On the table as shown below, there are some fancy canvas bags and my other resin & felting jewellery(and soap) claim half of the table~ still not enough space to put all my items >.<

DVC00050.JPG

I'm quite happy with the location of my stall, but it'd be perfect if this was a square site~ well, you cant get it all I guess :)

Elegant Rose Felt & Bead Necklace

Sorry for abandoning this site for such a long time~ I've been away for 2 months and now back to Darwin :)

I suppose to get ready for Parap Market, which is tomorrow. But it seems I won't be able to do it because of the cyclone at the moment...(Now I'm glad that I just found a takeaway job yesterday...otherwise, I wont be able to make ends even >.<)

Alright! Enough complaining! Let have a look at the necklace I made several months before~

I was trying to make my felt project not so "wool & warm":P~ after all, we're in Darwin!

So, I use eye pins to "thread" all the pearl-like beads together, one by one, and add some wool beads in-between.

To make an elegant final touch, I add a purple felt rose brooch~ Amazingly, the purple rose here goes totally perfect with the white, grey & blak wool beads here :)

雍容華貴羊毛氈項鍊

As usual, Orders are welcome. The price is $30 plus postage. For ordering, please leave a comment under this post and let me know the postcode. I'll let you know the amount of postage:)

Resin Jewellery:Sprinkles, Stamps & Buttons

Dala! New resin jewellery has come up! I just got 2 silicon mold from U.S. so every day and night I have been making resin jewellery recently~

This time I use stamps, sprinkles and colourful buttons to embed into resin. My favorite is the multi-layer button bracelet. You'll see at the end of the article :)

First, let me introduce the stamp bracelet. Those stamps have been travelling around Australia, so you can see there're postmarks on the stamps~ Makes the bracelet like a lively item, like something has it own past & story~

I've only got 1 mold for 2 rectangle shape, so it took me 3 days to finish the bracelet :P

郵票手鍊

Below is a closer look. There's still some bubbles on the corner, but I think it's also an evidence of pure handmade craft :)

郵票手鍊近拍

Here comes the sprinkle topic! I love sprinkles! They're so colourful and sweet :P Below are some rings, earrings and some unfinished items. The 2 rings on the buttom of the photo are made with the silicon mold post from U.S.

The seller's only got #8 and #9, so I bought #8. But I fould that my own size is #7 >.<. It's sad that I cannot wear the rings I create yet, but I'll ask the seller to make one for me:P

The big heart in the lower right corner has alphabetic pasta embeded. I havent bought an airbrush set yet, so I paint the pasta one by one ... the word is "lost" in the heart, because I'd like to express the idea of "once lost but now found" :)

繽紛糖果零件

Below is the romantic necklace made with the "lost" big heart. I had an idea when I was dreaming, which is using lace trim and pink ribbon to make necklace chain :) I add some beads after finished so the necklace looks more elegant~

The necklace maybe the only one I make in the world, because I found the ice mold isn't very good for resin jewellery making & I had to destroy the mold to dig out the only one piece here~

But because of this accident, the surface of this heart looks like has been through a lot :P so totally match the theme: once lost but now found! ah-ha!

蕾絲緞帶墜珠項鍊

Next one is assorted candy world carnival bracelet :) plus some capital city theme charms. See how colourful and happy the world can be~

DSC01303.JPG

Now here comes my favorite:Fancy button galore bracelet! I found a jewellery making magazine in a newsagency near my place. I just had a quick look before heading for sushi:P then I found a tutorial for this multi-layer bracelet ^^

It's not very hard but just takes time. I use 2 sizes jump rings to chain the base piece by piece, that how the multi-layer chain made, then hook on some cute buttons and of course some button embeded resin pieces~ Then, voila! A unique button bracelet has born :)

Since my mold only has 2 square cavities, so it took 3 days for the bracelet to be finished~

多層次晶瑩鈕扣手鍊

Oeders are welcome! Sprinkle earrings & rings $10 AUD each/pair. Stamp bracelet $25. Lost heart necklace $30. Candy world carnival bracelet $20 (charms maybe different, so each item is unique). Multi-layer fancy button bracelet $35. Postage is $5 for anywhere within Australia.

Accept bank deposit & PAYPAL.

Please leave a message below and I'll get back to you a.s.a.p or just email to Shannon : yjeu4546@hotmail.com

Help Taiwan to be treated equally!

In many international events, Taiwanese People have been treated unfairly. This is our voice telling the world that we want our country and our people to receive equal amount of treatment and recognition in any places, in any time.
The point I want to make is: our country might be small in your eyes; our bravery is definitely greater than what you thought.

We are a developed country, we have Nobel Prize winners, we win gold medals in Olympics, and we are ranked 24th in GDP per capita in the world. We design and build your laptops, bikes. We have Academy Award winning directors. We have everything a great country should have. WE DESERVE BETTER RECOGNITION!!!

English is not my native language, but I know some of you in the world would understand my words. Take a moment of truth. If other countries had been bashing and bullying your country, how would you feel?
英文不是我平常談論時用的語言,但我知道這世上某些人一定懂我說的話. 請用片刻時間來思考事實:
如果其他的國家一直打壓你的國家,你會有什麼感受?

Not only Taiwan, but also many other countries has been treated the same way as we are for a long time. Your support will make a difference, and help my country.
不單單只是台灣,世界上 也有很多國家跟我們一樣長期受打壓.
你的支持會讓我的國家有所改變跟幫助,謝謝!!

Please ask everyone you know to support Taiwan!!Thanks!Taiwan is a well-educated country, which will not use any improper method to protest.

This clip aims to declare Taiwanese point of view over the controversial taekwondo game. It may not be a perfect video clip, but so does this world. China has suppressed Taiwan for a long time and in many cases, especially by using dirty tricks on international games. We hope you can join us, find out what the truth is. If you want to know more detail, check Taiwanese reports. DO NOT TRUST EVERY WORDS SAID BY CHINESE AUTHORITY!!

Whole New field ! Resin Jewellery !

It seems that my "crafty" side of personality has blossomed this year! I started making resin jewellery is because my hubby bought me the kit with everything, e.g. mold, resin, glitter etc.

I didn't touch the kit for 6 months! And several months ago, since the Mindil Market has finished, I guess it's time to start & learn something new! :)

I thought it's quite hard to learn and get everything right at the beginning (that's why I put it away for 6 months , I think! ). But after I really started, I found that it's pretty easy actually, it's just time consuming :P

My first Resin Jewellery are these earrings & rings that has shells embedded. I picked up those lovely & unique shells myself at a place called sandbar. My husband and I go out sailing sometimes. We like to go "sandbar" in the middle of ocean & pick up special shells. But sandbar is not a place that people can just go visit anytime. It depends on the tides. If we visited there during high tide, then we won't see anything, because sandbar will be totally under water! So, those shells are precious~

And then I made this: 7 wonders in the world bracelet.

This one has been improved, because those small jump rings failed to support the chunky beads, so I use fishing line to redo all my chunky bead bracelet now.

Then I have some other different nice pictures embedeed, like: capital cities bracelet. This one is with some topic matching charms dangling. I also have made chunky beads style, and they're selling at Mette's shop at the moment.

And this is Washi (Japanese are paper) bracelet:

And bottle cap bracelet! I love it! I especially love to wear it while I'm driving & listening to the tinkling~ makes me feel calm & peaceful :P

Here's the other one, Washi paper bottle cap bracelet:

Alright! That's almost all my resin jewellery at the moment! (I'm trying to embed colourful candy into resin, so hopefully I'll have something exciting comes up soon :P ) oh! I need to spray
several layers of clear arcylic paint on the candies before embed, otherwise it'd be a tragedy...but now my concern is how to spray sprinkles without get messy...

Now, here's something I wanna say, as a stallholder who's selling self made craft in the market. To me, because I love creating & making things, no matter it's felted or resin. So, I just sell each item in a pretty low price.

But sometimes I really hope that people would understand that unlike other handmade jewellery which is made by mass produced beads, I need to make my own "beads" from scratch, e.g.find nice photos, trim the photos piece by piece to fit the mold, and the most time consuming procedure is sanding...though I have a Dremel, in order to achieve a really fine finishing touch, I still use wet/dry sandpaper to sand my "beads" one by one as my final procedure...

So, if there are 6 resin beads in 1 bracelet, basically it takes 3-4 hours to just do the sanding part for 1 bracelet~

But, as I said, I love making things, especially jewellery :) so I don't count all the hours I spent. If I counted all the hours I spent, I'm afraid that I'll have to mark the price like $70 each, and they'll stay in my stall like ..forever :P

I don't mind keeping all of them as my collections :P but it'd be better to share good things to other people :) I really like to see people's smile when they say they like those things I make~ which gives me a sense of satisfaction :)

If you'd like to know more about my resin jewellery, you could leave a message here or come to my stall which is opposite Happy Garden Takeaway at Parap market on Saturday from 8am-2pm or visit Mette's shop : Shop 1, No 3 Parap Place, Parap NT Australia. T: (08) 8981 8054

OK! Got to go! There's a whole jar of sprinkles waiting for me to spray~

25/11: I've got more bottle cap bracelet here~
